Tomas Northmore is a multi-genre composer based in Brighton (UK). A life-long musician, he graduated with first class honours from Oxford Brookes University with a BA in Music and later earned an MA with distinction in Music & Sonic Media from the University of Sussex. He is a classically trained violinist, having played in multiple orchestras and ensembles from a young age, and is proficient in classical orchestral arrangement.
Tomas’ Masters thesis was on the musical history and development of science fiction film: creating a compositional portfolio charting the genre’s devlopment through orchestral composition and analogue electronic synthesis. His work varies from traditional instrumental scoring, through to electro-acoustic composition, and experimental sound design – often combining all three.
Tomas has always had a passion for film and film composition, is constantly working to expand his portfolio, and welcomes any potential freelance work. Get in touch with him to see if his music is right for your project.
